Technology Implementation Issue

One of the biggest technology implementation issues in schools today is cyberbullying. Students may feel more confident saying unkind things online than they would in person, which can harm their peers emotionally and academically. As a future teacher, I would plan to set clear expectations for respectful digital communication and create lessons about digital citizenship early in the year. I would also use monitoring tools when possible and build a classroom culture where students feel safe reporting concerns, knowing that I will take them seriously and respond appropriately.

Copyright and Fair Use

I have learned about copyright and fair use before in school, mostly when writing essays and creating projects that used online images or videos. As a teacher, I will need to make sure that both I and my students use resources ethically. For example, I can model this by citing images in my presentations and teaching students how to use Creative Commons or royalty-free materials for their projects. While I feel more confident now about fair use, I still wonder about the “gray areas,” such as how much of a copyrighted text or song can be used before it becomes a violation.

Newsletter Design Assignment

From the Newsletter Design assignment, I learned new skills like how to format text into columns, add section breaks, and insert creative elements like borders or graphics. These skills helped me design a newsletter that looked more professional and easier for parents to read. In the future, I could improve my newsletter by experimenting with color schemes and adding more visuals to make it engaging for families. The ability to create newsletters, flyers, and similar communication tools will be valuable in my future career as a teacher because clear communication with parents and students is such an important part of education.
