My Experience with Blogging

Throughout this course, my experience with blogging has been both enjoyable and educational. I like that blogging gives me a creative outlet to share my thoughts, reflect on class concepts, and organize my ideas in a clear way. However, sometimes it can feel challenging to make sure every post is long enough or detailed enough to meet requirements while still sounding natural. Overall, I’ve learned that blogging is not just about posting information—it’s about communicating ideas in a personal, engaging voice that connects with readers.

Artificial Intelligence in Education

Artificial intelligence in education is a topic that I find both fascinating and a little uncertain. On one hand, AI has the potential to make learning more personalized by adjusting lessons to fit each student’s needs and pace. On the other hand, I worry that overreliance on AI could reduce creativity and critical thinking if it replaces too much of the human element in teaching. My initial thought is that AI should be used as a helpful tool to support teachers, not to replace them.

My Experience with Generative AI for Participation Portfolio Item

When completing the Generative AI participation portfolio item, I experimented with AI to help brainstorm ideas and create lesson plans. I found that it worked really well for organizing my thoughts and generating creative ways to present information to students. However, sometimes the responses felt too generic or needed editing to match my exact goals. Next time, I would give the AI more specific prompts and refine its ideas rather than using them directly, so my final product feels more authentic and aligned with my personal teaching style.

Using Generative AI in My Future Teaching Practice

In my future teaching career, I can see myself using Generative AI as a planning assistant and creative partner. It could help me write lesson plans, create classroom newsletters, or design educational visuals for students. At the same time, I would make sure to teach students about digital citizenship and the importance of verifying AI-generated information. To address ethical concerns, I would always give credit when AI tools are used, ensure that student privacy is protected, and encourage thoughtful, responsible use of technology in the classroom.
